Mike Baur is a Swiss businessman who has had an interest in banking from the time he was a teenager. With this passion, Baur decided to pursue Business Administration from the University of Bern. From this career, Baur has built a successful business that has enriched his experience and knowledge both in business and finance.
For the past 20 years. Mike spent his life working with different banking institutions. His experience and diligence in operation have enabled his rise through the job ranks. The journey of entrepreneurship
In 2014, Mike turned 39. It was in this year that he developed an interest in starting his company. Together with two other colleagues, Baur started the Swiss Startup Company which aims at helping the young innovators achieve their goals. Switzerland has several young developers especially on digital innovations, but they lack sufficient support to build on their ideas. The three individuals own the company, and the operations are privately run.

Since there are several young people with technological ideas, Mike has always had a strong passion for helping these people put their ideas into practice. According to him, the innovative young people have the capability of utilizing technological resources. Most of these youths are not in a position to turn their ideas into realities because of the financial limitations. Having the passion to help this group of people out, Mike and his colleagues agreed to focus on the tech-prenuers since that is the direction that the world is taking currently. Currently, Mike finances most of the activities in the company. Baur is also in charge of the fundraising activities in the company.
The Swiss Startup Factory
Started in 2014, the Swiss Startup Factory aims at helping young people to develop their ideas. The company ensures that the innovative young people are given sufficient financial and managerial advice on how to handle their ideas. Currently, the company through the support of Mike Baur has financed different projects which could change the world. The developers are given three months’ period during when the ideas are incubated. The duration gives the developers sufficient time to come up with ways of being competent in the market. Securus Technologies is a technology company that services the corrections industry. They offer information management software, communication infrastructure, and parolee tracking services. Securus was founded in 1986. It is based in Dallas, Texas. The company has regional offices in Allen, Carrolton, and Atlanta. Securus has served more than two thousand facilities and a million inmates in the US, Mexico, and Canada. The company has acquired several companies to add the number of products that it offers to clients including Guarded Exchange, Telerus, CellBlox, and Primonics.
Rick Smith is the CEO of Securus Technologies. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo where he earned a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Engineering. Smith joined Frontier Corporation after school and went on to work in various departments including finance, business development, and IT. He was named the CEO of Eschelon Telecom Inc. in 2001. Smith was able to grow the company’s revenue ten times to $350 million when he was there. He was able to take the company to a successful Initial Public Offering in 2005. Securus announced the addition of a senior sales executive to its team at the start of last year. John Bell joined the company as the senior vice president of sales. He was brought on to build a sales team based on software to sell its portfolio that comprises of hundreds of products. Smith said that they had invested six hundred million dollars towards the development of security and safety products. The company needed an experienced sales executive to come in and help to sell these products to new clients. Smith said that Bell would oversee the sales team and grow them accordingly so that they would be able to articulate the products accurately to prospective customers.
Bell has a Master’s degree and a Doctorate from the Wharton School of Business and the Kellogg School of Management respectively. He has worked at top telecommunication companies in the country including Verizon, Time Warner Cable, and AT&T. He will lead a sales team that is made up of 100 sales associates on the ground and site. Smith explained that they had chosen Bell because of his work experience and performance in his previous positions. When Omar Boraie first came to the New Brunswick area over 30 years ago, he knew that the town was in desperate need of some help. He wanted to live there but he also knew that it was not necessarily a safe place for people to live in. He wanted to change things and, for that reason, he set about working to make New Brunswick a better place where people are actually able to enjoy their lives without the worries that come along with not being able to reach different things for themselves. He has used his company, Boraie Development, to make New Brunswick a better place.
Now, there are even things in the town like the summer theater and community projects. While Omar Boraie had very little to do with the introduction of these programs, he is always a major sponsor of the programs now that they are running efficiently. He uses this opportunity to try more and to be able to do more with the options that people have in these areas. His project, The Aspire, is one of the first and the best luxury buildings in all of New Brunswick. He wanted to show people that they had opportunities to do different things in their own town so that they would want to stay there. The town has truly come a long way from not being able to walk down the street without fear to being able to have a luxury complex building that is located in the town. Omar Boraie has been instrumental in making all of this happen and providing the town with the opportunities that they didn’t have in the past.
Because of the experience that Omar Boraie had while he was traveling Europe in the 1970s, he knew that it was possible to make a town that was terrible into one that was great. He also knew there wold be so many more opportunities for people who were in New Brunswick if he used his expertise to help them get the options that they needed and that they deserved from within the town. It allowed them the chance to see that there was much more in store for the way that things were going.
