Securus announced the addition of a senior sales executive to its team at the start of last year. John Bell joined the company as the senior vice president of sales. He was brought on to build a sales team based on software to sell its portfolio that comprises of hundreds of products. Smith said that they had invested six hundred million dollars towards the development of security and safety products. The company needed an experienced sales executive to come in and help to sell these products to new clients. Beneful’s Cute Commercials Highlight New Products

Beneful, the line of dog food and snacks made by Nestle Purina Petcare, has released some fun and cute commercials to showcase some of their new products. One example is a commercial for their Break-N-Bites dog treats. Featuring a talking labrador retriever describing the product from his perspective, the commercial is refreshingly brief while staying entertaining and getting the point across. The dog describes what he needs to do in order to convince his owner to give him some Break-N-Bites treats. The treats look like a chocolate bar with four pieces that can be broken off into individual pieces. As any dog lover can attest to, he points out that if you want to get all four treats, “you gotta get cute.” The camera cuts to the dog letting a toddler sleep against his side before the product features are briefly reviewed.

Another endearing commercial, with over 16 million shares on youtube, is called “Puppyhood.” The commercial explores a new pet owner’s first day home with his new puppy. Armed with his Beneful puppy chow, puppy, and pet supplies he introduces his new friend to her new home in a very matter of fact tone of voice. After they go through the day together, getting used to one another, it ends with him fixing a work project she chewed up and them eating breakfast together. He lays next to her on the floor eating his cereal while she eats her puppy show, wrapping up a summary of their first 24 hours of cute chaos and start to a new friendship.

End Citizens United is taking on corporate money one donation at a time

David is sizing up Goliath and starting to feel pretty good about his chances. The task of taking on corporate America seems like an extremely daunting challenge. However, End Citizens United continues to get the word out about potential political corruption both to its ever-growing supporters and those who might be on the fence or might be uninformed. In a recent article on ECU’s website they exposed a fairly blatant example of “pay for play”, The American Action Network spent two million dollars rewarding the 21 republican members of Congress who voted to take away the health benefits of twenty-four Amercan citizens. In addition to voting for the repeal bill, they added an age tax for seniors, allowed insurance companies to charge higher rates for people over 50, and endangering life-saving protections for citizens by putting in stipulations regarding individuals with pre-existing conditions. It’s become an obvious battle between the vulnerable and exposed individual taking on the secretive, monetarily motivated corporate interests. On the surface the odds don’t look to be in the individual’s favor. Although, it does seem that slowly but surely people are waking up to the realization that there’s one thing that trumps money(no pun intended) and that’s the pure numbers. Enter in the 98%.

 

End Citizens United was established in March of 2015.
